This Week in Room 5

Partner Reading from the text and writing text dependent questions to learn about the Puritans.

Playing Numbered Heads Together, using the questions that the students created to quiz each other.

Ms. Demari visited our classroom and taught us how to use the Reading Rainbow to summarize what we read orally and in writing.

Mrs. Richards also visited and worked with us to write an essay on why we should protect dolphins after we read 2 different texts on how smart dolphins are. 

We finished off the week with an amazing Chorus Concert.

 

 

 

 

 
 

 

 

 

Vibes Program

Thank you to the PCC who sponsored the Vibes Program today. It was amazing! We learned so much about Sound Energy through demonstrations and experiments with Jupiter Judy.

Learning about the parts of the ear and how we hear.

Seeing how vibrations pass through the ear drum.

Playing around with pitch.

Making high and low pitch sound waves as well as loud and soft volume.
