Golden Dustpan Award

Our class was awarded the Golden Dustpan Award by Mr. Rousseau for keeping our classroom neat.

Reader's Workshop : Organizing Information from Nonfiction

Today we used Headings, Subheadings and Pop-Out Sentences to organize the information from nonfiction texts. By organizing the new information and using a Boxes and Bullets format we are able to understand and remember new information much more easily.

After reading a text on the amazing octopus we were able to organize the new information using the Boxes and Bullets format.

Students work together to organize information from a variety of texts.

Students share their learning by using their graphic organizers (Boxes and Bullets).
