Observing Caterpillar Larva

Today we are observing our Painted Lady Butterfly larva. We have had them for 8 days and boy have they grown! We can see their spiracles (breathing holes), true legs, false legs, spinnerets, setae and even their tiny eyes. They are so busy eating and resting as they prepare to turn into their chrysalis soon.
