Today we celebrated our writing by sharing our Personal Narratives with each other.

 

 

 

 

Math Assessment

Today we took our first online math assessment. The students did an amazing job navigating the Pearson site. They worked really hard solving the addition and subtraction problems while showing their work on the scrap paper.

 

 

 

Author's Purpose

After reading Stone Fox  we had a discussion about Author's Purpose. 

The students then broke off into groups to answer the questions 'Why did he author chose to include that? Why was it important to the story?"

The students worked well together coming up with some very insightful reasons why.

This Week in Room 5

On Monday Mrs. Richards came in to demonstrate how to draft our Personal Narratives from our timelines. 

After we drafted our stories we worked on revising them. We elaborated by adding more details, using dialogue, vivid descriptions and action.

We logged on to Prodegy and Xtra Math this week too!
