Amazing Animal Adaptations Skype
Today we were fortunate to Skype with an expert at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody Wyoming. We learned about the different environments in Yellowstone National Park and the animals that live there. We learned about the 2 kinds of adaptations that animals have to ensure that they survive (Physical and Behavioral). The hour long lesson was amazing! We saw animals up close and were able to ask lots of questions. This is one experience that we're sure not to forget any time soon!

Math with Mrs. Murray
This This week Mrs. Murray is working with our class using high quality tasks that foster the math practices within a multiplication unit.
We worked with a partner to solve a problem and show our work on a poster. The next day we had a Gallery Walk where our posters were hung up. The class viewed each poster and added comments about our work, positive and constructive.
After the walk we met for a Math Congress where we discussed the project as well as the comments (we're they helpful or not?).
The students learned so much about working together, presenting, and working through difficult and lengthy tasks.
